iPhone 3G released in Australia on July 11th. Optus and Vodafone trying to fight out company Telstra as the main seller but failed with Telstra’s 3G coverage network being more appropriate for the phone and ipod. $279 to buy the 3G outright from Telstra or buy on a plan for $30 a month. That is the cheapest price for the 3G phone available.
